Development IT Solutions

Development IT Solutions (DITS) is a Pretoria South Africa based closed corporation. It was founded in January 2004 by Bert Roefs. DITS is still a small company but we aim to establish a renowned company and employ approximately 25 South African citizens in 4 to 5 years time. In this time period, we intent to transfer research and IT skills to our employees. Within 3 years we want to start operating in other (Southern) African countries as well.

Currently DITS offers interactive web-portal solutions. DITS provides organizations involved in governance, local economic development, skills transfer and development, poverty alleviation and HIV/AIDS awareness, and private companies, with the means to use portals, which enable them to communicate, both within their organization, and with their target audiences, their funders and other stakeholders. The differentiation between intra-, extra-net, and public web-site, dissappears using a sophisticated authentication and permission system that allows presenting different content and access to different users in different locations. Instead of a one-way dissemination of information, as is the case with common web-sites, DITS’ portals bring about a virtual community, where members can publish information, have discussions, co-operate on projects, share news, views, addresses, calendars, journals, comments, and more.
